What to expect
Before you decide to work with a coach, take a look at the sections below to understand what kind of commitment and effort a journey like this will require from you.

Together we will clarify any questions you may have and dive deeper into what to expect during our initial Chemistry Conversation.
what coaching IS (NOT)
You might be surprised
-
Coaching is not counselling or psychotherapy, it is not medical or mental health advice. Coaching is about moving forward, not analysing the past.
-
It is also not consulting. A consultant does a job for you, whereas a coach supports you to do the job better yourself.
-
A coach is not a mentor giving people advice based on their own experience.
-
Coaching is a structured approach to support you in achieving the major goals or challenges you have set for yourself.
-
A Coach should not judge you, neither give you any advice, nor impose his or her opinions onto you.
-
Coaching is focused on where you are now, where you want to be, and what you will do about getting there.
what Brain-based coaching means
Your brain loves these 5 principles
-
Brain-Based Coaching® has been introduced by the renowned NeuroLeadership Institute and has also been accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation).
-
It delivers unique neuroscience-based, process-focused, and outcome-driven methodologies, tools and frameworks that empower individuals, organizations, leaders and managers to facilitate positive change and maximise their effectiveness.
-
The approach uses 5 principles to effectively bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be:
-
Self-directed learning = I will support you in processing ideas better
-
Solution-focused = I will help you focus on solutions rather than problems
-
Stretch = I will challenge and stretch you to help you work at your best
-
Positive feedback = I will acknowledge and encourage you to grow confidence and performance
-
Structure = I will embed structure and certainty so that we can easily track progress together
Really, Coaching is hard work?
Yes, it really is!
-
Coaching is comparable to changing your diet or training for a six pack: you need more than one session in the gym or with a dietician until you see results. Training your brain to think differently, to adopt a new mindset is as laborious.
-
YOU will be the one who is going to work. You will work hard, even harder than you might initially anticipate.
-
Coaching is a big commitment. There are actions to be done between the sessions and we will be following up on those actions each session.
-
Being challenged can feel very uncomfortable, so can change. You might experience resistance to change, self-doubt and even thoughts about quitting (more than once).
-
The good news is: most people find the times they have a coach to be incredibly personally rewarding, and they get really fantastic results.
-
Often it is not only about reaching your goals, but the impactful learning journey you will have undergone on the way.
-
You will feel proud and successful, having unlocked your potential and changed how you approach big, sometimes overwhelming, challenges in the future.
